“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.” – Franklin D Roosevelt
2020 seems to be the year that just keeps on giving… and not really gifts that anyone wants. It’s like when your Secret Santa forgets about the gift exchange and grabs something at the gas station on their way to work. Except that it’s worse. Much worse.
In all fairness, we’ve been lucky so far in 2020. The pandemic hasn’t impacted us significantly, the murder hornets haven’t found us yet and our boat is still floating. That doesn’t mean we haven’t had our moments – missing friends and family and the fear of the great unknown are not easy either.
So it may be time to start learning those boat knots I should already know. I’ve always let Handsome Hubby take care of the knots – he uses them everyday at work and can pretty much do them in his sleep. But if 2020 is any indication, it’s time for everyone, me included, to know how to tie the biggest, toughest knot there is and hang on!
Stay safe and happy cruising!
